FOOD SKILLS

We offer Food Skills programs throughout the year. They’re always fun and informative.

Date: Click on our calendar up top for program timing.
Location: Our Food Skills programs mostly happened at the Nelson Community Food Centre, 602 Silica Street. Read the program description for any exceptions.

Our Food Skills program is up and running with our new kitchen renovation. Ta! Da!  Food Skills coordinator, Hannah DeBoer-Smith, has lead one community dinner and has already launched two youth-focussed cooking classes (with the help of volunteers and staff).

If you are keen to experiment with some easy-to-follow recipes, check out our Food Skills playlist on our YouTube channel. We try to provide simple recipes, tips and tricks, that’ll make it easier (and hopefully more fun) to cook with the healthy ingredients you pick up from the Good Food Bank every week. We included a couple samples below, but if you don’t want to miss any, subscribe to our YouTube channel.
